The web portal of CAMPING ZUMAIA has been developed by adopting a series of measures with the aim of improving its accessibility, and that it can be navigated by the greatest number of users regardless of their personal or technological limitations.
For this, we have worked on the basis of the requirements of Priority 1 and Priority 2 of the UNE 139803: 2012 Standard Accessibility Requirements for Web Content, which corresponds to the level of conformity AA (Double-A) of the international guidelines of Accessibility for Web Content WCAG 2.0 defined by the Consortium for the World Wide Web (W3C). A check has been carried out using semi-automatic tools and a manual audit of compliance with the requirements applicable to this Double-A level, and we are currently working on solving some identified problems.
Among the advantages provided by the implementation of accessibility techniques and criteria to users of the website, are the following:
Facilitate access for users and regardless of their capabilities, environment, or technological infrastructure. It facilitates access with different browsers (it is displayed correctly in the latest versions of the most common browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (except obsolete version 6), Netscape, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome). The contents are structured and clearer, facilitating their interpretation.Improves navigation and user experience.
To this end, the following measures have been taken, inter alia:
Separation between content and presentation, using style sheets (CSS).Textual alternatives are added to non-text content.Hierarchization of the content, using the appropriate structural and semantic markup for the information and the relationships between the content.Application of W3C standards.Improved navigability, navigation menu visible on all pages. The size of the text is defined in relative units so that it can be enlarged or reduced by the user. The text can be resized so that it can be read by people with vision problems. Use CTRL+ or CTRL-All links are identified and provide details of the function or destination of the hyperlink.
EXCEPTIONS
The contents arranged to expand information with formats other than HTML such as PDF, for the most part, do not incorporate accessibility features.
